Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data is processed, and why, when you use kuantile.com ("the Site"). By using the Site you accept this policy.
1. Data we collect
Without an account: you can use the analysis tool without registering. The assets and quantities you enter are sent to the server only to compute the analysis; since you have no account, they are not stored permanently.
With an account: if you register we store your email address, chosen nickname, an irreversible hash of your password (bcrypt), your language preference and the portfolio you save (assets, quantities, costs, bond details). Your password is never stored in plain text.
2. How the data is used
- Storing and reloading your portfolio
- Sending daily/weekly/monthly/yearly report emails if you opted in (via the Resend infrastructure)
- Account verification and security (email verification link)
Your data is never sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and local storage
The Site keeps your session and interface preferences (theme, language) in your browser's local storage. The Site uses Google Analytics for visit statistics (aggregate data such as page views, approximate location and device type; no identity information). The Site may also display Google AdSense ads; Google and its partners may use cookies to serve interest-based advertising. You can manage Google's advertising cookies at Google Ads Settings. Third-party providers' cookie usage is governed by their own privacy policies.
4. Third-party services
- Yahoo Finance and TEFAS: price data sources (no personal data is shared)
- Resend: email delivery (only your email address is transmitted)
- Google AdSense: ad serving
- Google Analytics: anonymous usage statistics
5. Security and retention
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on access-restricted servers. To delete your account or request an export of your data, simply write to us via the contact page; requests are handled within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) and general data-protection principles you may learn whether your data is processed, request correction or deletion, and object to processing. Use the contact form for such requests.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated when necessary; the current version is always published on this page.
